CueUp — Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 26, 2026
1. Summary
CueUp ("the app", "we", "us") does not collect, transmit, or store any of your data on our servers. We do not have servers.
Your scripts, recordings, imported images and exported videos are created and kept on your device. The app makes no network requests other than the in-app-purchase requests handled by the App Store and Google Play.
CueUp is published by Curiola Pty Ltd, a company registered in Australia, and listed on boringapps.net.
2. Camera and microphone
CueUp asks for the camera so you can see and record yourself, and for the microphone so your takes have sound.
Recording only happens while you are pressing or have tapped the record button. Audio is never analysed, transcribed or sent anywhere: CueUp has no speech recognition and no AI.
You can withdraw either permission at any time in your phone's settings. The preview keeps working without the microphone.
3. What CueUp stores on your device
• Your projects: the script, the recorded takes, the cue timings you fired, framing settings, imported images and card presets.
• Exported videos, until you delete them in the app.
• Studio preferences (teleprompter speed, text size and so on).
• A local flag recording whether you have bought the unlock.
All of this lives in the app's private storage. It is removed when you uninstall the app. Deleting a project in the app deletes its files.
4. Photos and sharing
When you import an image for a cue, you pick it with the system photo picker; CueUp only receives the image you chose.
When you tap Save or Share on an export, CueUp hands that one video to your phone's gallery or share sheet. Nothing is uploaded by CueUp itself, and only finished exports can be shared — never your script or raw takes.
5. In-app purchase
CueUp is free to download and use. Videos exported from the free version carry a small "Made with CueUp" mark; a single one-off purchase removes it.
Purchases are processed entirely by Apple's App Store or Google Play. We never see or receive your payment details. The app only stores a local flag indicating the unlock was purchased, and asks the store to restore it when you tap "Restore purchase".
6. What we do not do
• We do not collect personally identifiable information.
• We do not use analytics or telemetry SDKs of any kind.
• We do not use third-party crash reporters.
• We do not track you across apps or websites.
• We do not sell, share, or process any data.
• We do not have user accounts or require sign-in.
• We do not run any backend service that the app talks to (purchases go directly to the platform store).
7. Store privacy declarations
The privacy sections on the App Store and Google Play listings are set to "No data collected". The statements in this policy match those declarations. If you find a discrepancy, please email us — we want to know.
8. Children's privacy
CueUp does not knowingly collect any information from anyone — children included — because it does not collect information at all.
9. Changes to this policy
If we materially change how the app handles data, this page will be updated and the "Last updated" date above will change.
