Make Room Support
Make Room is built and maintained by The IT Dept Pty Ltd. It runs entirely on your device — there is no account to recover and no server to be down. Most things you might want to know are covered below; if not, email us.
How to play
Each board has one warm hero block and a grid of other blocks. Blocks slide only along their own lane — horizontal blocks left and right, vertical blocks up and down — and can't pass through one another.
Drag blocks aside to clear a path, then slide the hero off the right edge through the exit gap to win. The move counter tracks your moves; "par" is the fewest moves possible. Solve at par for an "Optimal" badge.
Stuck? Undo as many times as you like, reset the board, or tap the hint to play one good move.
Common questions
Are the puzzles always solvable? — Yes, guaranteed. Every level is checked by a solver before it ships: it is proven solvable and its "par" is the true minimum number of moves. You can always finish a level — it's only ever your route that needs work.
I'm colour-blind — can I still play? — Yes. The hero block always shows an arrow pointing to the exit, so the goal never depends on colour. Turn on Settings → Block grain to add a directional texture to every block so its orientation is clear too.
Which packs are free? — The first two packs (Loosen and Shuffle) are free to play. A single one-off "Full Game" purchase unlocks the remaining twelve packs permanently.
I bought the unlock on another device — how do I get it here? — Open Settings and tap "Restore purchases".
Where is my progress stored? — In a local database inside the app's private storage on your device. It never leaves your device, and uninstalling the app removes it.
Does Make Room need the internet? — No. All 350 puzzles ship inside the app; it works fully offline and makes no network calls beyond the store purchase and restore.
